This Body Is My Paper is a visual and theoretical exploration of the body as an archive — a living manuscript written through time, memory, and experience. Every mark, scar, and gesture becomes a trace of existence, a line of text inscribed on the skin. Yet this archive is fragile: when the body dies, its stories vanish with it, leaving behind only the faint memory of what once was.

Divided into four chapters, the book follows the body’s slow journey from matter to image, from presence to dissolution.

The first chapter, Politics of Photography, examines the beginnings — the moment when the body first learns to record itself. Through photographic research, it reveals how adolescence and experience inscribe meaning onto the skin, transforming innocence into narrative. In the second chapter, through video and performance, the body resists, and transforms — testing the boundaries of its own endurance. The third chapter, expands the narrative toward collective identity. Here, women’s and queer bodies emerge as sites of memory and resistance. Scars and transformations become forms of authorship — ways of reclaiming the body as a space of truth and survival. Photography becomes witness: it holds tenderness, violence, and transformation within a single frame. In conclusion, Online/Offline explores the collapse of the physical body into the digital. What was once unique turns into replication, and the archive begins to decay — pixel by pixel, memory by memory. The self fades into the infinite cloud, reduced to fragments of light and code.

This Body Is My Paper is a meditation on the impermanence of existence — on how the body writes its own story, only to erase it with time. Every image, like every body, burns eventually; what remains is the echo of a presence that once dared to be seen.
